Self-tests

Thermal System Performance Test

Tests the vehicle thermal system performance, including both powertrain and cabin HVAC heating and cooling with pass or fail result returned. This is the same routine used by Tesla in the manufacturing environment to certify thermal system is performing to specification.

Model 3 / Y
Self-tests

Thermal System Performance Test

Tests the performance of the vehicle thermal system, the powertrain, and the HVAC heating and cooling. The resulting output is either a pass or fail. Tesla manufacturing uses this routine to certify the thermal system's performance.

TEST-SELF_VCFRONT_X_THERMAL-PERFORMANCE

Model 3 / Y Model S / X (2021+)
Service procedures

Thermal System Test

Runs the thermal system test for approximately five minutes and returns results. Results can be retrieved at a later time using PROC_THC_X_THERMAL-TEST-RESULT.
