Tests the Gateway's ability to confine faults and monitor controller area network (CAN) bus activity.
TEST-CAN_GTW
Test horn button press
TEST-SELF_HORN_X_BUTTON-PRESS
Tests if the left side repeater light is electrically connected. This routine confirms the Vehicle Battery Controller (VCBATT) can command the repeater and monitors current draw to verify proper electrical connection.
TEST-SELF_VCBATT_L_SIDE-REPEATER
Tests if the radiator coolant pump is electrically connected. The pump will be activated and its electrical current will be monitored to verify proper electrical connection.
TEST-SELF_VCBATT_X_COOLANT-PUMP-RADIATOR
Tests the functionality and quality of DAB radio. Verifies that the DAB radio hardware and software can tune to a specific station and output audio.
TEST_ICE_X_RADIO-DAB-QUALITY
Radio Tuner connection test for all variants
TEST-SELF_RADIOTUNER-ALL
Tests if the Front Controllers is able to turn on its Drive inverter front efuse successfully.
PROC_VCFRONT2_DIF-EFUSE-TURN-ON-TEST
Verify the connectivity status of the vehicle's WiFi antenna.
TEST_CID_X_WIFI-ANTENNA
A all-in-one test for the exterior lights on the Model X. During the test, all front or rear exterior lights will illuminate for 5 seconds and the front or rear body controller will look for any errors. Pass or fail results will be returned for every light. Note: the park lights (hockey sticks) and turn signals will turn on at the same time and the color will be peach (mix of orange and white). This is expected.
PROC_BCFRONT_FRONT_TEST-FRONT-LIGHTS
A all-in-one test for the exterior lights on the Model X. During the test, all of the front exterior lights will illuminate for 5 seconds and the front body controller will look for any errors. Pass or fail results will be returned for every light. Note: the front park lights (hockey sticks) and turn signals will turn on at the same time and the color will be peach (mix of orange and white). This is expected.
PROC_BCREAR_REAR_TEST-REAR-LIGHTS
Tests communication with the Thermal Controller for Supercharger (THC) Electronic Control Unit (ECU). Communication is established via Unified Diagnostics Services (UDS) over the Controller Area Network (CAN).
PING-TP_THC
Starts the Thermal Coolant Flow Cycle with all coolant modes. The routine will run for up to 20 minutes.
PROC_VCFRONT2_X_THERMAL-COOLANT-FLOW-CYCLE
Starts the Thermal Coolant Flow Cycle with all coolant modes. The routine will run for up to 20 minutes.
PROC_VCFRONT_X_THERMAL-COOLANT-FLOW-CYCLE

PROC_VCFRONT2_X_THERMAL-COOLANT-FLOW-CYCLE-SERIES-NO-BYPASS
Starts the Thermal Coolant Flow Cycle with only series mode. The routine will run for up to 5 minutes
PROC_VCFRONT_X_THERMAL-COOLANT-FLOW-CYCLE-SERIES-NO-BYPASS
Starts or stops the coolant and/or refrigerant fluid fill and drain routine. 'Start' will set the coolant valve to Series mode with the radiator 50% bypassed, chiller valve 50% bypassed, and all coolant pumps off. This routine fully opens the chiller evaporator expansion valve and chiller solenoid (if equipped). It also disables the refrigerant compressor. This routine fails if another routine is already running on the Thermal Controller or if the vehicle is charging or in Drive. 'Stop' will cancel the fluid fill and drain routine and restore normal operation. Stopping this routine will fail if it is already stopped.
PROC_THC_X_FLUID-FILL-DRAIN
Places the coolant valve in series mode and turns the coolant pumps off for draining or filling coolant. In addition, this routine opens the Electronic Expansion Valves (EXVs) for recovering or charging refrigerant.
PROC_VCFRONT_X_THERMAL-FILL-DRAIN
Descriptions and input definitions come from Tesla’s 2026 vehicle firmware. This catalog includes tasks covered by Tesware’s current service access. Each task page lists the vehicle and firmware versions in which it was found. The connected vehicle confirms whether a task can run.
