Self-tests

2R Left Recline and Center Armrest Console Self-Test

Tests the second row (2R) left recline and center armrest console switches, motors, and sensors by measuring current draw, performing endpoint tests, and detecting communication with the Local Interconnect Network (LIN) bus.

TEST-SELF_VCLEFT_2R_P2-MS-RECLINE-ARMREST-CONSOLE

Model S / X (2021+)
Self-tests

2R Right Seat Fold and Recline Self-Test

Tests if the second row (2R) right fold switch, fold latch motor, and fold latch hall sensor are operating as expected. This routine measures current draw and performs endpoint tests.

Service procedures

Actuate Thermal Components

Set Thermal components to target positions for one minute or sweep them twice between end points. The routine will complete when all components have reached their target positions. Until then, other components will remain at their target positions or continue sweeping. Unselected components will default to a target position that minimizes noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH).

After HV Battery Replacement

Before running this routine, a Controller Area Network (CAN) Electronic Control Unit (ECU) redeploy needs to pass. After a High Voltage (HV) Battery replacement, this routine runs all required tasks.

PROC_HVC_X_PACK-REPLACEMENT

Model 3 / Y Model S / X (2021+)
Communication checks

Air Suspension Chassis CAN Communication

Tests communication with the Air Suspension Chassis (TAS) Electronic Control Unit (ECU). Communication is established via Unified Diagnostics Services (UDS) over the Controller Area Network (CAN).
