Alert description
One or more of the messages the Tesla Adaptive Suspension (TAS) module receives periodically from the Electric Power Assisted Steering Gen 3 Primary (EPAS3P) module is not received, indicating the EPAS3P module may be unavailable (MIA).
Potential impact
Adaptive suspension damping may be disabled, or functionality may be reduced.
Set condition
One or more of the expected messages from EPAS3P is not received. Messages may be missing, are not received at the expected rate, or have an invalid checksum / counter.
Clear condition
TAS starts receiving the expected messages from EPAS3P.
Check other alerts
With Service Mode Plus enabled, open Service Alerts → All. Review the other alerts for clues to the cause of TAS_a193.
