Alert description
VCLEFT EPBM status message VCLEFT_epbmStatus was not received or message length is incorrect.
Potential impact
Controlled Deceleration via Parking brake (CDP) may be unavailable. There may be an issue with the transmitting Electronic Control Unit (ECU). The vehicle should be driven with extreme caution.
Set condition
The Integrated Dynamic Brake (IDB) does not receive the VCLEFT_epbmStatus Controller Area Network (CAN) message for longer than 100 milliseconds, or the IDB receives the VCLEFT_epbmStatus CAN message with incorrect data length for longer than 100 milliseconds.
Clear condition
Clears when VCLEFT_epbmStatus is received with correct data length for 100 milliseconds.

With Service Mode Plus enabled, open Service Alerts → All. Review the other alerts for clues to the cause of IDB_a117.
