Alert description
EPB status message EPBL_status checksum is incorrect.
Potential impact
Controlled Deceleration via Parking brake (CDP) and Brake Disc Wipe (BDW) may be unavailable. There may be an issue with the transmitting Electronic Control Unit (ECU). The vehicle should be driven with extreme caution.
Set condition
The Integrated Dynamic Brake (IDB) receives the EPBL_status Controller Area Network (CAN) messages with incorrect CRC for longer than 1000 milliseconds.
Clear condition
Clears when EPBL_status is received with correct Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC) for 1000 milliseconds.
Check other alerts
With Service Mode Plus enabled, open Service Alerts → All. Review the other alerts for clues to the cause of IDB_a111.
