Steering Column Calibration
Common/tasks/PROC_STEERING_COLUMN_CALIBRATION
What this task does
Calibrates the steering column. Sets the zero position of each axis. Determines the number of motor encoder counts it takes to reach the other endpoint of the column's travel.

- 2024+ Model 3, 2025+ Model Y, Model Y, Pre-2024 Model 3
- Supported connection
- Local connection
- Vehicle state
- Stationary · Parked
- Gateway diagnostic level
- DiagLinkActive, Factory, Service
Procedure notes
During calibration, the steering column first moves all the way down and then moves up to the endpoint. The in/out axis calibrates in the same manner.
