Alert description
The vehicle controller is reporting an open circuit on the low voltage (LV) battery temperature sensor, indicating damage to the sensor or wiring harness.
Potential impact
A default voltage setpoint is used when charging the LV battery, instead of optimizing the voltage setpoint based on the LV battery's actual temperature. The LV battery may experience accelerated degradation if this continues.
Set condition
The LV battery temperature sensor circuit reads a ground reference voltage, indicating an open circuit (disconnected).
Clear condition
The LV battery temperature sensor circuit no longer reads a ground reference voltage.
