VCFRONT_a626 — LV Battery Resistance Increase

Full alert identifier: VCFRONT_a626_LVBatteryResistanceIncrease

Alert description

The Low Voltage (LV) battery internal resistance indicates degradation is present. Replacing the battery during service is recommended to prevent a future service visit.

Potential impact

The LV battery internal resistance may degrade to a point requiring replacement. If this happens, then an alert will set indicating LV battery replacement is needed.

Set condition

Direct Current Resistance (DCR) measurement of the LV battery's internal resistance reports a higher value than expected.

Clear condition

A vehicle self-test reports the LV battery internal resistance is no longer degraded. The alert can also clear when the vehicle controller loses all electrical power from the LV battery and Power Conversion System (PCS) which happens during LV battery replacement.
