VCFRONT2_a662 — Drive Exit Blocked Indefinitely By Self Test Request

Full alert identifier: VCFRONT2_a662_driveExitBlockedIndefinitelyBySelfTestRequest

Message shown in the car

Vehicle held in Drive - Service routine active Stop service routine to exit from Drive state

Alert description

The vehicle will not exit Drive power state because a service diagnostic routine has placed an indefinite block on exiting the Drive power state. Actions that normally transition the vehicle out of Drive power state are suppressed while this block is active.

Potential impact

The vehicle will remain in Drive, even after the driver leaves the seat or opens the driver door. Loadshed and crash overrides will continue to function as designed.

Set condition

A Unified Diagnostics Service (UDS) START routine 0x0675 has been received on the power-state leader with a zero (sticky) timeout. This routine holds the self-test request at the Drive power state.

Clear condition

The service diagnostic routine that engaged the block has been stopped (UDS 0x0675 STOP), an overlapping self-test request retargets a different power state, or the vehicle power cycles.
