Alert description
One or more of the messages the Electronic Power Assist Steering (EPAS) Electronic Control Unit (ECU) receives periodically from the Electric Parking Brake (EPB) ECU is not received, indicating EPB ECU may be unavailable (MIA).
Potential impact
The EPAS ECU may not exit Driverless State until it is confirmed vehicle is parked.
Set condition
The EPAS ECU does not receive one or more of the expected messages from the EPB ECU within the expected time frame.
Clear condition
The EPAS ECU starts receiving the expected messages from the EPB ECU.

With Service Mode Plus enabled, open Service Alerts → All. Review the other alerts for clues to the cause of EPAS3P_a165.
